June 2nd Ballot Guide
Our ballot guide is here! Voter turnout is currently at about 15% as of Sunday May 31st. Strategically, we are now recommending a vote for Tom Steyer for governor to box out rightwing, anti-public school candidates Hilton and Bianco.
We put together this guide based on candidate positions, experience, and relationships. We researched using LAist’s Voter Game Plan, CalMatters, knock.la checking candidates’ sites and connections, and by watching who shows up where (and not only when it’s election time). We tune into City Council and GUSD Board meetings regularly. We see who gives public comment, and what they say.
So…remember to use black or blue ink to bubble in your ballot, sign and date your return envelope and drop your ballot in a secure dropbox or at a vote center before 8pm on June 2nd.
