The vast majority of residents in Glendale - whether they have kids in our schools or not - recognize the quality public education GUSD offers.

GUSD Parents builds connections among families and neighbors who value a free, inclusive, and just 21st-century public education.

We are parents fundraising for key staff and school supplies and fostering positive communities at our schools. We are neighbors who support the kids across the street. We are new parents moving to Glendale “for the schools.” We are the former GUSD parents who made it through public school during recessions, pandemics, fires, and relentless attacks on our kids.

We are people who hold the line and work towards something better, always.

Public education is for everyone. The fact is that parents enjoy lots of options and choices across the 30+ schools in GUSD.

Unfortunately, outsiders with no children in public schools have been infiltrating GUSD in recent years, attempting to provoke fear, restrict our kids’ freedom to learn, and undermine public education.

GUSD Parents for Public Schools provides fellow families with resources that empower parents and guardians to advocate and support public education. We remind everyone that in California, students have the freedom and the right to learn in a supportive environment.

We are current, former, and future parents and neighbors who promote public education in Glendale. We want to elevate the good work our teachers, administrators, students, add parents/guardians are doing across the 30+ schools in GUSD.

GUSD remains a destination district for families all over Northeast Los Angeles. With award-winning programs and teachers, our public schools are preparing engaged, thoughtful students for their future.
